A. Unlike chemical-based cleaners, enzyme-based cleaners use non-pathogenic bacteria to speed up the process of breaking down organic waste by acting as a catalyst. Enzymes break down complex molecules in starches and proteins to eliminate stains and odors entirely. The enzymes are small enough to penetrate the smallest corners, crevasses and fibers to reach areas often missed by brushes or towels. Once the enzymes dry out they die. Allowing the area to dry naturally and not rushing the process ensures that the stain/odor is completely removed.

A. Before using KIDS‘N’PETS to remove stains and odors on your furniture, be sure to check the manufacturer’s label for the cleaning code:

A. Apply to stain. Let it work for at least 5 minutes. Then wash as usual. To boost laundry detergent, add 1 cup to every load.

A. Saturate with KIDS‘N’PETS. Allow it to work for 10 minutes. Gently blow stain with a clean cloth. If necessary, repeat until stain is gone .

For old dried stains, allow KIDS‘N’PETS to work for 1 hour and then blot the stain.

A. Yes. Add 8 ounces of KIDS‘N’PETS to 1 gallon of water, or for deep cleaning, 16 ounces of KIDS‘N’PETS to 1 gallon of water. Add to your carpet cleaning machine. Do not use in steam cleaners – the heat can destroy some enzymes. Pretreat noticeable stains 1 hour prior to carpet cleaning.

A. Yes, it is safe to use on all water-safe surfaces. Direct sunlight will dry the enzymes too quickly. Apply when area is shaded and not in direct sunlight.

A.  No. Enzyme cleaners contain “good” bacteria, which can out-compete harmful bacteria and microorganisms. However, these cleaners do not disinfect a surface by killing bacteria.
